National Reporting Officer Required In Pakistan

The Community Resilience Activity-North (CRA-N) Project is designed to support community level resilience development and conflict prevention activities within the newly merged districts (NMD’s) of Khyber, Kurram, North Waziristan and Orakzai Districts within Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Province; while also focused on addressing the role of Climate Change and the nexus between Climate, Instability, Community Resilience & Disaster Risk Reduction. CRA-N will pursue a multi-disciplinary and community participatory approach and will work in close coordination with the Government of Pakistan (GoP) and Project Stakeholders at the regional and district level. The National Reporting Officer will be tasked with preparing specific donor focused project deliverables and work product which will support the communication, media and digital components of the CRA-North Project; utilizing the lenses of Climate Change and Community Resilience to capture on the ground programmatic efforts.


The National Reporting Officer responsibilities will include the following.

  • Develop, write and finalize scheduled project deliverables, which include but are not limited to; Annual Reports, Quarterly Reports, Monthly Reports, Weekly Updates and Impact Pieces which reflect progress on CRA-North’s Community Resilience programming, with a clear emphasis on the nexus between Climate, Instability, Community Resilience & Disaster Risk Reduction.
  • Provide professional Project Visibility and Briefing Materials (Brochures, Factsheets) for the CRA-North Project, donor and program stakeholders, which is designed with senior audiences in mind; and provides effective CRA-North Project visibility in an attractive and engaging format, while maintaining records of the content produced.
  • Track all donor reporting requirements and provide alerts to the Deputy Chief of Party and Chief of Party regarding upcoming deadlines for submission
  • Work closely with the Deputy Chief of Party and other team members to visit field locations and identify, collect, capture, and document Community Resilience programming content in the form of case studies, human interest stories, success stories and photographic highlights.
  • Review, identify and incorporate the highest quality photographs, with the assistance of team members, and freelance photographers and videographers, while ensuring informed consent. Oversee photographic content collection shoots as needed; ensuring that these shoots cover the Climate, Instability, Community Resilience & Disaster Risk Reduction themes.
  • Responsible to ensure that all CRA-North Project Deliverables, Visibility & Briefing Materials adhere to the current Branding & Marking Guidelines and remain in accordance with expected donor quality requirements.
  • Produce and deliver required graphic design and formatting support to CRA-North Project Deliverables, Visibility & Briefing Materials; ensuring that all written and developed work product shared with the donor and project stakeholders is in line and accordance with approved templates and quality requirements.
  • Engage and work within IOM on internal written communications priorities, such as Quarterly Newsletters.
  • Maintain reporting databases and formats that are easily accessible and facilitate the rapid sourcing of information that may be needed by the donor, Deputy Chief of Party or other program Department Heads.
  • Serve as the lead focal point for all the CRA-North Project Deliverable, Visibility & Briefing Materials and Reporting requirements.
  • Represent CRA-North at the relevant working groups notified by the Government of Pakistan.
  • Support in event management and lead the development of advocacy material and campaigns designed for various national and international days to be celebrated/observed during the project period.
  • Perform such other duties as may be assigned.



  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Political or Social Science, Business Administration, International Development etc.


  • Four years of relevant professional experience in a Communications Reporting role, with preference for those who have worked for International Development Organizations. In terms of reporting; experience with the reporting formats and written requirements of institutional donors e.g. USAID will be an added value.



  • Fluency in English & Urdu


  • Pashto or any other local language/s.
